Letter from the Publishers

As we welcome the month of May, a time of transitions and new beginnings, I wanted to share some reflections and updates with you.

Firstly, the wildflowers that have graced our fields with their vibrant colors have now gone to seed. It's a bittersweet moment as we witness the cycle of nature unfolding before us. Soon, I'll be mowing the field, preparing for the next phase of growth and transformation. Let's cherish the beauty of this changing landscape and anticipate the wonders that each season brings.

May is also recognized as Women's Wellness Month—a time dedicated to prioritizing and celebrating women's health and well-being. It's an important opportunity to raise awareness about the unique health needs of women and promote self-care practices that empower and nurture.

In the spirit of Women's Wellness Month, I encourage each of you to take time for self-care and reflection. Whether it's scheduling a check-up, practicing mindfulness, or engaging in physical activity, let's prioritize our health and wellness. Let's also celebrate the remarkable achievements of women in healthcare, research, advocacy, and beyond.

As I prepare to mow the field and embrace the themes of Women's Wellness Month, I'm reminded of the resilience and strength that nature and women embody. Let's approach this month with a sense of gratitude, renewal, and commitment to our well-being.

Thank you for being part of this journey. Wishing you a month filled with growth, self-care, and moments of joy.

bright blessings,

Cindy & Mike Hart, publishers

Giving Back to Mother Earth
by Marlaina Donato

Most of us can remember the first time we felt soft, cool grass under our bare feet or noticed sweet ozone in the air after a wild thunderstorm. The sometimes-incompressible wonders of Gaia sustain our existence, boggle our minds and inspire us to contemplate our place in the great universal order. Our love affair with this beautiful planet begins early, but it is easy to forget this sacred partnership in the mundane whirlwind of adult life. Like any other vital relationship in our lives, it is all too easy to take it for granted and allow ourselves to put forth minimal effort. Read More
