The Water Element: Kidney Qi, Balance & Light

Water is a great necessity, without it nothing can live. Only earth and water can bring forth a living soul. Such is the greatness of water that spiritual regeneration cannot happen without it.
Thales of Miletus, one of the seven sages and the father of philosophy, concluded that water was the beginning of all things, the first of all elements and most potent because of its mastery over the rest.
Water is a cleansing, healing, psychic and loving element. It is the feeling of friendship and love that pours over us when we are with our family, friends and loved ones. When we swim it is the water that supports us, when we are thirsty, it is the water that quenches our thirst. Another manifestation of this element is the rain that drenches us, or the dew formed on plant life after the sun has set.
The kidneys are responsible for the delicate balance of water in our bodies, electrolytes, sodium and the potassium necessary for the circulation of bioelectrical energy (Qi/Light/Life Force) throughout the body.
They come in pairs, a marriage of duplicate order to achieve the mandatory balance within all organ systems. When there are digestive issues or congestion in the blood, lungs or liver we must look at the Kidney meridian and the imbalance of qi/chi/energy that is attempting to reveal.
There is a long line of ancestral energy emanating from the kidneys and much karma to be processed through these beautiful and transformative organs.
In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) a parent/child relationship exists between the kidneys and the adrenal glands. The adrenal glands secrete adrenaline when we perceive stress, or step into the Fight or Flight scenario. In conditions of chronic stress the adrenals and kidneys can get overwhelmed with an excess of cortisol resulting in weight gain, chronic fatigue, digestive issues, pain and a host of western ailments.
Staying hydrated with good, clean spring water is a must for happy kidneys and the first line of action in the detoxification process.
The kidneys rest in the sacral plexus, the 2nd chakra and their fluidity is directly influenced by our emotions/water.
In his book, The Biology of Belief: Unleashing the Power of Consciousness, Matter & Miracles, scientist Bruce Lipton documents his research with an illustration of the structure of the cell wall possessing little doors or openings that correlate to our emotions. Cell walls (boundaries) become habituated to experiences of emotion and learn to receive energy positive or negative from chronic ways of being. For example when there is a habitual condition of anger – this would be the only feeling the cell learned how to recognize or receive. Consequently the cellular structure would be shaped and formed by anger or resentment. Basically the cells wouldn’t recognize or receive nourishment. Aren’t cancer cells, simply undernourished cells, absent of Light and Life Force? Proof that genes and DNA do not control our biology; that instead DNA is controlled by signals from outside the cell, including the energetic messages emanating from our positive and negative thoughts.
Japanese scientist, Dr. Masaru Emoto, is proving the energy of human consciousness and that words/thoughts affect the formation of water and ice crystals. His research concludes that we are 99% water as a fetus in the womb, at birth we are 90% water and at adult maturation we are 70% water. If we live to a ripe old age we are about 50% water at the time of death. He photographed many different samples of frozen water crystals from pristine sources and polluted sources, exposed to different kinds of music and different labels such as love, peace, hate, ugly... The results are amazing, revelatory and beautifully documented in his books, The Hidden Messages In Water.
The fact that words and thoughts have the power to change cells, DNA, the structure of water (our bodies) and other substances calls for our urgent responsibility to nourish the self and consciously maintain healthy energy within the kidneys.
The chronic and acute conditions of modern life DO NOT support the quality of energy and Light balance within this dynamic pair of organs. There is a dialysis storefront popping up in every neighborhood. Is this a sign of the times? Or a misappropriation of Light? Move the water and the Light can dance.
