Healthy Fall Fun with Adaptogens
by John Vastola and Scott Frazier

Although it is sad to see summer go, I believe we can all get excited about the onset of fall as we look forward to thin sweaters and hot tea weather!  Besides enjoying a lovely hot cup of tea on a cool fall morning we can also enjoy the benefits gained from a healthy cup of Adaptogenic tea. Adaptogenic teas are daily herbal teas that are considered to help the body adapt to stress and to exert a normalizing effect upon bodily processes. We will expand on three of my favorite Adaptogenic teas which will soon be yours too!

Many cultures around the world use Dried Noni Fruit, Blue Butterfly Pea Flower and Rosella as daily adaptogens.  All are exquisite teas individually but when combined create a perfectly lovely trifecta of flavor and benefits.  Each are touted to be high in antioxidants, minerals and vitamin which when combined create a tea blend that is greater than the sum of its parts!

Noni Fruit (Morinda Citrifolia) also known as Indian or Beach Mulberry is a tropical evergreen that is amazingly adaptogenic. Rich in powerful antioxidants such as Vitamin C, Vitamin A, Vitamin B3 and iron, Noni tea is great for your immune system and helps detoxify the body!

Historically, drinking a regimented daily dose of Organic Dried Noni tea will start to provide a multitude of health benefits such as general organ health, lowering the risk and/or helping control and diminish the effects of Gout by breaking up the Uric acid crystals that accumulate in the joints. Hand in hand it does well for arthritic joints as well.  Furthermore, Noni tea is historically used to treat Hypertension by reducing one’s blood pressure and the icing on the cake is that Noni tea is a great immune booster and improves skin quality.

Cousin to the hibiscus tea, Rosella (Hibiscus Sabdariffa) packs much more of a punch with a multitude of vitamins and loaded down with antioxidants. Rosella makes an excellent tea with a beautiful reddish hue and a tartness akin to cranberries.

Benefits of Rosella tea include being high in Antioxidants like vitamin C, lowers blood pressure, increases good cholesterol while lowering bad cholesterol, helps detoxify the liver, influences weight loss, could help prevent or reduce cancer due to high polyphenols and may aid in fighting bacteria.

Butterfly Pea Flower (Clitoria Ternatea) also known as Blue Tea is an organic whole dried flower that when brewed has an amazing blue color which turns various shades of purple depending on the pH level added i.e., lemon Juice or your preferred citrus.

Blue Butterfly Tea has been known historically to have a host of benefits including an abundance of antioxidants, promotes brain function, improves eyesight and eye health, aids in chronic fatigue, prevents skin bruising and promotes skin health and is an overall immune booster.  Most notably Butterfly Pea flowers helps lower blood pressure, refreshes the brain, keeping you energized and happy throughout the day and improves blood circulation which most of us could benefit from these days!

Brewed together you will see a lovely dark red tea that will color shift into a vibrant vermillion by adding a dash of lemon/lime juice due to the color changing properties of Butterfly Pea with hints of cranberry from the rosella while blending nicely with the rich amber Noni.

So let start this fall season off well protected, hydrated and satiated with the premier Adaptogenic Daily Super Wellness Blend offer by Kreat Day Botanicals.
