A chiropractic adjustment is defined as a high velocity, low amplitude thrust into a joint to help decrease pain and increase range of motion. Chiropractic Manipulative Therapy (CMT) is not only utilized in the spine, but also in the extremities (hips, shoulders, ankles, wrists).
Physical Rehabiliation is utilized to increase range of motion, stability, strength and proprioception through a combination of neuromuscular and therapeutic exercises. Rehabilitation is a very important part of the recovery process and key in injury prevention that is often overlooked.
Soft tissue mobilization is utilized through many hands-on Myofascial Release Techniques to increase range of motion and to decrease pain, swelling, muscle soreness, tension, and knots.
I am Rocktape Functional Movement Taping Levels 1 and 2 certified. This technique helps to facilitate muscles during activity, support the joint without restricting range of motion, and to decrease swelling and appearance of bruises.
Through the use of a combination of services, therapeutic modalities are also used to help with pain management.Ultrasound is utilized to provide deep soft tissue heating to promote tissue healing. These tissues include muscles, tendons, joints, and ligaments. Electric stimulation sends a current through portions of the body to decrease pain and inflammation, improve circulation, and it can help your muscles contract properly.
Dry needling is not Acupuncture, a practice based on traditional Chinese medicine. Dry needling uses thin filiform needles that penetrates the skin and stimulates underlying myofascial trigger points and muscular and connective tissues. The needle allows us to target tissues that are not manually palpable. Dry needling is used with the goal of releasing or inactivating trigger points to relieve pain and improve range of motion. Dry needling improves pain control, reduces muscle tension, and normalizes dysfunctions of the nerve impulses to help speed up the patient's return to active rehabilitation.
SpectraCell Lab Testing offers a detailed and accurate picture into your body by testing the blood. These tests are more detailed and focused than the general test run by your General Practitioner. This testing will show us exactly how your body processes and absorbs the foods you are consuming at a cellular level. We will be able to determine exactly what the issues are and what supplements to take on an individual basis.
Food Sensitivity Testing Mediator Release Test (MRT®) is a functional test that objectively measures the body's inflammatory response to foods and food-chemicals. Mediator release is the key pathological event associated with food-induced inflammation. MRT® is the foundation of fully addressing food sensitivities and achieving the maximum outcomes in the shortest period of time.
